After a hard week's work, our pupsters and us deserve to wind down and kick off our weekend. Come join us for a casual Yappy Hour at Camp Ilene.

What is a Yappy Hour? Yappy hours are a new trend that is becoming increasingly popular--it's a chance for dogs and their humans to schmooze/sniff, indulge in some hors d'oeuvres/treats, lap up some libations/H2o and kick back/kick up some dirt. :D I'm going to try to get hold of some Bowser Beer (made specially for dogs . . . ). And some pupcorn for them to munch on. Humans will have some sort of Mock-tail . . .

If the first Yappy Hour is a success, we will schedule future ones. I chose a Friday evening for our first one, but we can have them on other nights also.

Don't feel you have to be there at 4:30. Come later and hang out with us. We will be going until around 6:30.

Camp Ilene is a doggy day care, boarding and grooming facility. [Oh, and she is also a sponsor for our meetup group and lets us hold events there.] She has a fenced area in front that is grassy and separate from her day care doggies. I don't think sun will be a problem, but she does have a long porch with a covered roof.

Please remember to bring chairs since there are no benches.

    •  All the Ladies were very nice and their doggies were ready to play with ours. Frankie especially had a great time with Molly. Frankie hopes to see her again at the next Meetup. Daisy enjoyed herself too.
    •  Molly had a great time playing with all her little furry friends........especially her new friend Franky....thanks to Theresa and Irene for their hospitality.
    •  Great idea! Sammy and I had a great time meeting new people and fur-kids. Thank you, Teresa for graciously hosting.

Theresa organized a relaxed time for both dogs and people at Yappy Hour with plenty of good food, some especially for the dogs, as well as treats for their owners. It was a very pleasant evening.

It was a fun way to start the weekend. Next time we might have some adult beverages. :D
